“Working in an industry where people come to us for help, we are always in a position to have a truly satisfied client at the end of the day.”

Attorney Cameron J. Gharabiklou has represented clients in a variety of areas including, but not limited to, personal injury, business litigation, employment litigation, consumer protection law, estate litigation, real estate litigation, and criminal defense.

Mr. Gharabiklou has successfully recovered millions of dollars for his clients, including a recent $8,500,000 class-action settlement in the matter of Jeremiah Johnson v. General Mills, Inc. Looking beyond his successful cases, Cameron garners respect and admiration from both his clients and peers. Both will tell you that Cameron is an efficient and effective attorney that is genuine and always acts with his clients’ best interests in mind; his multiple 5-star Yelp! reviews and client testimonials will show this to be true.

MO: What are some common legal issues you see consumers facing and how can they be avoided?

Cameron: We’re all consumers on so many levels, and we’re all bombarded everyday with claims, promises, guarantees and innuendos. Whether it’s your cell phone service carrier, the place you bought lunch from, the milk you buy at the grocery store, or the apartment building you decided to live in – they all caught your attention through some form of marketing, advertisement or placement. False representations, over promises, and tricky language are all relied upon by consumers everyday. It’s important for consumers to do their homework, ask simple questions, and use good-old common sense when making purchases in the market.

MO: What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?

Cameron: Working in an industry where people come to us for help, we are always in a position to have a truly satisfied client at the end of the day. Instead of claiming one single achievement that stands out – I can honestly say, anytime I have a client walk out of my office when my representation ends, with a heartfelt thank you and a look of satisfaction…that’s the best achievement of all.

MO: What are some ways that our readers can protect themselves from having contractual disputes?

Cameron: The truth is, contractual disputes can arise in any situation – no matter how comprehensive and detailed the underlying contract is. Attorneys can draft you a contract. They can draft you a very loooong contract. There’s no contract in the world that can prevent a dispute. The smartest clients I have are those that involve me in their discussions long before a contract is needed. I can advise on whether the matter appears safe, legitimate, and has solid footing. You want the contract when things go bad – you shouldn’t need the contract to get things moving.

MO: What’s one marketing strategy that’s worked really well for you?

Cameron: Nothing beats personal meetings and word of mouth referrals – nothing. That said, building my reputation within my own legal communities has helped greatly. When others in your position trust and respect you, it ends up paying dividends.

MO: What advice would you pass onto someone contemplating a career in law?

Cameron: It’s not for the faint of heart. The legal industry has changed…this isn’t your dad’s legal industry. Forget what you see on TV about lawyers, it couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s a serious industry, that requires fortitude, a high tolerance for stress, and a compassion for your clients. Ultimately, it’s the best and worst career path to take – just depends on what day you ask.
