RevZilla was created in 2007 when Anthony left his position of Director of Business Development at a national eCommerce platform provider to co-found and launch RevZilla.com. Anthony is an ex-developer turned business owner. He spent his post tech development career in business development and consumer brand online strategy servicing some of the most well known brands in America.

MO: Can you tell us about the experience of being a developer turned business owner?

Anthony: Since so much of our business is a technology play, understanding how all of the tech pieces communicate and ultimately effect things downstream to the consumer is invaluable, regardless if I am the one writing the code.

MO: How did your experience in eCommerce industry prepare you for launching RevZilla?

Anthony: During my tenure on the Biz Dev and Strategy I was able to peek under the technical, operational and marketing hoods of many established retailers. Some of the most effective strategies were consistently observed in different flavors across many disparate verticals. It was a true education to be able to digest that wide ranging landscape of consumer brands and their strategies.

MO: How does customer service for RevZilla go beyond what is normally expected?

Anthony: Consumer interaction and service, at any touch point, is the cornerstone of what we do and what leaves the most lasting impression. RevZilla is set up as a specialty retailer in a specialty vertical. Without expertise, experience, domain knowledge, opinion and a CS vehicle for delivery, what value are we adding for the consumer besides low price and fast shipping? If it was about the latter, Amazon would have eaten our lunch many moons ago.

MO: Is RevZilla only geared at the serious motorsport enthusiasts, or can beginners benefit from your products as well?

Anthony: Original content, how-to, guide videos and a staff of geeks make us extremely noob friendly. If a customer is buying his or her first bike and needs all of the accoutrements, I think we are one of the best suited outlets to help offer great information around a customer’s unique set of criteria and decision making process. The short answer is that RevZilla can support new and experienced riders in an equally complete fashion.

MO: Why are you passionate about motorsports?

Anthony: Motorcycles can be whatever you need them to be, whenever you want. Riding is much more versatile of a hobby than folks realize. A motorcycle can provide freedom, excitement, solace, peace, utility and a smile – all on the same ride. There really is nothing like it.

MO: What can we expect to see new from RevZilla in the next 12 months?

Anthony: Continued and explosive growth and expansion.
