“To meet that challenge, we provide high-touch, hands on service for our general offices and we’ve found the extra attention results in them being comfortable about using iRefer.”

CloudDDS is a dental technology company offering dental professionals services designed to improve their practice and patient care. iRefer is a patient referral application connecting general practitioners and specialists via a HIPAA-compliant platform. iMarketplace gives offices access to quality dental supplies at exceptional prices. iData provides bank-level data backup to protect valuable patient data.

MO: What inspired you to launch your business?

Courtney: CloudDDS was inspired by two ideas – one) giving individual dental practices purchasing power by bringing them together to leverage pricing on dental supplies and two) giving dental specialists and general practitioners a safe, HIPAA-compliant way to share patient information and track patient care.

MO: Do you have any recent success stories that you’d like to share with our readers?

Courtney: Our success continues to be measured by the number of satisfied dental specialists using CloudDDS to both improve patient care and save money on supplies. In particular, we are proud of our expanding list of product offerings at iMarketplace. We look forward to adding additional products in the coming weeks, making iMarketplace a true one-stop shop for busy practices.

MO: What issue does your core product help solve and how so?

Courtney: iRefer, our patient referral application, solves several important problems for dental offices: 1 – it takes the manual process of sending a patient from a general office to a specialist and turns that process into an electronic one. 2 – it provides a way to capture and secure patient data and track a patient’s care from start to finish. 3- iRefer provides valuable data that lets specialists track their general offices to see where referral levels are falling.

MO: What has been your biggest challenge as a business owner and how have you met that challenge?

Courtney: One of our biggest challenges has been getting general practices on board with using iRefer. Specialists love iRefer, but general practices are sometimes hesitant about using new technology. To meet that challenge, we provide high-touch, hands on service for our general offices and we’ve found the extra attention results in them being comfortable about using iRefer.

MO: What’s the most exciting thing on the horizon for you/your Company?

Courtney: We look forward to continued improvements with iRefer. As more offices use the service, we find more ways to make iRefer useful and beneficial for daily office use. We will continue to expand our product offerings at iMarketplace to include office supplies and dental specialty items. Finally, we want to revamp our iData service to make it more comprehensive.

MO: Do you consider yourself successful and by what means do you measure success?

Courtney: We do consider ourselves successful for a young start-up. We have aggressive goals for growth and feel we will be able to measure our success with more specific numbers, such as reaching a goal of 500 specialists using iRefer, or reaching X number of dollars in iMarketplace orders.
