Greg Perleberg

Greg is a shareholder with Lommen Abdo and a member of the firm’s Corporate and Entertainment Law Groups. Greg specializes in a wide spectrum of intellectual property areas. In addition to his law firm experience, Greg spent over seven years at IBM, working closely with software developers, hardware designers, marketing and sales teams, advertising agencies, and domestic and international strategic business partners.

With over 20 years of experience, Greg helps clients protect and commercialize their intellectual properties, ranging from leading-edge technology products, such as software and hardware, to film, music and other creative endeavors. In addition to providing general counseling to businesses related to commercial transactions, the core areas of Greg’s practice include:

o    Copyright: Greg counsels corporations, non-profits, schools, small businesses and individuals alike on strategies to protect and maximize the value of their copyrighted works via registration practices and policies, acquisitions, sales and licenses. Greg represents clients that create, own and manage social networks, interactive and online content, computer programs, music, films and architectural works, among many others, helping to ensure that copyright owners protect their ownership interests and those acquiring content obtain sufficient rights in order to achieve their goals.
o    Publicity Rights: At Lommen Abdo, Greg has successfully helped celebrities and athletes assert their right of publicity against those making unauthorized use of their images or likenesses, including internet domain name disputes.

Greg’s clients include software and hardware companies, food and beverage businesses (e.g., restaurants and breweries), entrepreneurs, filmmakers, publishers and individual artists (e.g., musicians and writers). He also provides outside general counsel services to a broad array of businesses.
