Meet Heather Picken, a business acceleration mentor that helps coaches, consultants, and small businesses how to make what they did in a month and do it in a day.

Heather Picken is dedicated and passionate about helping entrepreneurs and businesses to attract more of their ideal clients, increase revenues, and break free from limitations. She and her team do this through various coaching and mentoring programs that are offered online and intensive on site meetings and trainings.

MO: What inspired you to launch your own business?

Heather: I loved the idea of creating something from nothing and being able to have the freedom to do what I want when I want. My father had his own business that was very successful, which created the drive at a very young age to do the same. I also loved the idea of making an impact particularly for women entrepreneurs in showing them how they could create a successful business with the right mindset and system.

MO: Where does your passion come from when it comes to furthering women’s causes in business and life in general?

Heather: I was stuck for years only making $20,000 a year in my business and was able to finally breakthrough and turn my business around once I hired a mentor. Many women entrepreneurs have issues with breaking through their own beliefs around money or understanding what it really takes to create and sustain a successful business. I made it my mission and purpose to show them that it doesn’t have to be this way once you have a system in place and accountability to achieve your goals.

MO: What advice would you give to a professional contemplating becoming a consultant but isn’t sure how to get started?

Heather: Invest in yourself by hiring a mentor or coach because it’s the fastest path to help you to get clear, feel confident, and create a plan of action to attract your first client. You also have to have the desire to do what it takes, which can’t be taught. Ask yourself how committed you are and who do you need to be in order to start your own business?

MO: Can you talk about the inspiration behind your signature program, the Six -Figure Client Attraction Program?

Heather: I realized that most traditional business programs fail to address how the subconscious mind works in keeping entrepreneurs stuck from taking action, making the money they desire, and feeling stressed out and worried. My system shows you how to rewire your brain for success so that you can attract more money every month along with how to confidently sell your programs and charge what you are worth. Additionally, these are things I had struggled with myself in my business so I wanted to create a system that women entrepreneurs could quickly learn why they were stuck, how to change their subconscious programming, and give them a simple plan to attract paying clients. The results my clients have had ranges from increasing their monthly income by 10 times Another client had one dollar when she started and in six weeks attracted $10,000.

MO: What’s the biggest risk that you’ve ever taken and how did it turn out?

Heather: Hiring a mentor when I didn’t have the money. I invested more than I had ever made in one year to work with this person. My credit cards were just about maxed out, I was kicked out of my then boyfriend’s place and had to move in with a complete stranger. Failure was not an option either. That decision allowed me to create my first six-figures in six months and of course created a huge breakthrough in my mind that I could do anything once I made a commitment to myself.

MO: What would you say to an entrepreneur who is feeling overwhelmed by doing everything themselves but cannot afford to take on any additional help?

Heather: I am going to be brutally honest here. There’s no such thing about not being able to afford something. You have to have the desire to find the money. If a person says they don’t have the money it’s usually that they are not willing to do what it takes or they have an asking issue. I went through it myself and I stand by it. If I can do it so can anyone else. There’s always the first level of investment where anyone can get started. I have a process where I help people to find the money but only if they are committed. Once they do this it creates an amazing break through for the person. It shows them that if they want something bad enough they will take action and move mountains.
