MO: You’re considered to be a global business celebrity and a leader in your industry. Can you tell us how your background and experience have paved the way for your success?

Jeffrey: I have won a lot of things, and lost a lot of things. It’s through those experiences that you gain the insight as to what not to do so you don’t repeat those mistakes. And over the years you learn through the people you meet and new tools you’re introduced to and make decisions as to what can help you along the way.

MO: Can you tell our readers how The Hayzlett Group is revolutionizing the way high growth companies do business?

Jeffery: We hold people’s feet to the fire, meaning we help them outline the key things they want to accomplish, and keep their focus on driving through to their goal. We call it, mutual conditions of satisfaction.

MO: Congratulations on the launch of your newest book, ‘Running The Gauntlet.’ I went on Amazon to see that you already have 40, 5 star reviews which is rather impressive considering how recently it’s been released. What do you think that readers are specifically enjoying and getting out of the book that hasn’t been said before?

Jeffery: I think there’s recognition of some concepts as to why people and businesses fail, and how they don’t always see the writing on the wall. Take my opening story in the book for instance; most people just fail to act. They see the issues, they see the problems, and yet they don’t take the initiative to get it done.

MO: What inspired you to write another book and what do you enjoy most about the writing process?

Jeffery: Every time you think you’ve finished one big project, there’s always another one lurking behind you. Whether it’s on your ranch, in the office, on the road, or in this case, another book. You start thinking about this and that, and discover that you have a book’s worth of thoughts. I like that it makes me think. I’m so used to doing; the writing process allows me to be retrospective and internal. It makes me go beyond the shallow and into the depths to uncover the “why”. I always know what to do and why, but I’d rather do it than explain why. I thought it was time to explain the why. And that’s what the writing process makes me do. And the money is good too.

MO: You have received a remarkable number of global marketing and business awards and honors. Which one was most meaningful for you receive and be recognized for?

Jeffery: They’re all special, and you would expect a marketing person to say that. But if I had to pick, I’d pick two. To be entered into the BMA Hall of Fame, and the SMEI Hall of Fame, to be in the same league with Thomas Watson, (Founder of IBM), Ray Kroc, (Founder of McDonalds), James Cash Penney of J.C. Penney, Zig Ziglar, and others is something to write home about. I’m honored.

MO: You’re passionate about business and profitability. Can you give our readers how to improve their sales and efficiencies?
