Sean Rudner: The biggest challenge as a business owner has been developing a stable e-commerce platform to encompass all of our customers’ needs and to provide users with the knowledge they need to make an informed buying decision. StockPKG has always been a company who supplies packaging products to businesses with stock needs by engaging the customer in a face-to-face conversation. For me, not knowing the technical side of the e-commerce industry (outside of some occasional online shopping), it has been a difficult learning curve. This is primarily because we want to be able to provide our customers with the best experience possible when they do business with us, so outside of trial and error, we focus on hiring people from outside our industry who can provide a fresh perspective on processes and procedures in other arenas. This allows us to evaluate our operations and potentially replicate their successes to better our company and the experience we’re able to provide customers and potential customers.
BusinessInterviews.com: What’s the most exciting thing on the horizon for you/your Company?
Sean Rudner: We are currently creating a 400-page catalog to make it easier to locate our products. We are also in the process of adding another 30,000+ products, totaling 75,000 discounted business supplies, on top of our custom capabilities. What I am most excited about is the resource center we are building to help our customers grow their businesses. My goal is to have an amazing amount of informative content and videos on various business-related subjects that will help our customers reach their business goals. Our intent is to offer these resources at no cost. I have a firm belief that if we can find ways to help our customers grow, we will grow right along with them. It’s a leap of faith, but this philosophy has worked for us thus far.

Sean Rudner: I can say that I don’t want to be just a packaging company. I would love for StockPKG to become the one-stop-shop for all types and sizes of discounted business products and custom solutions. Our goal is to evolve into the place where you can order safety supplies while watching a free video on “how to input a purchase order into Quickbooks,” then download a free outline to create a training program for your sales team. I really want StockPKG to be the very best and most efficient resource we possibly can for our customers, while giving them the best experience during the process.
