Logan Reuter: Roof U.S. is a family-owned and operated business. After years of being in construction in mid-Missouri, the complaints from friends, family and customers about roofing contractors became overwhelming. I knew we had the necessary experience in construction to deliver exceptional roof repair and replacement services for homeowners and business owners in Columbia, Mo and the surrounding communities (Ashland, MO, Jefferson City, MO, Lake Ozark, Mo). Logan Reuter: The roofing industry, especially the local roofing industry, needed a team dedicated to customer satisfaction. I was regularly hearing a customer, friend or family member mention something terrible about the experience they had with their roofing contractor. When our team at Roof U.S, noticed a void in service, we wanted to fill the void with quality work, craftsmanship and customer care.
Business Interviews: What’s the biggest challenge you face while managing your roofing business?
Logan Reuter: Where to start? Roofing has a lot of moving parts. Weather, materials, crews, and equipment are only some of them. Combining all of the moving pieces to establish the right team dedicated to delivering quality roofing services for our customers requires hard work. On top of all of the factors needed to create a good roofing team, our job is to work on a homeowner’s biggest investment, their roof. We’ve made it our top priority to ensure our customers are 100% satisfied with our work and we are available to guide them through the process, including insurance claims.
Business Interviews: How does being an insurance claim specialist set you apart from other roofing companies?
Logan Reuter: Being an insurance claim specialist separates Roof U.S. in many ways. It allows us to best consult and guide our homeowners through the process of an insurance claim when their roof has been damaged or needs to be replaced. In fact, we tell our customers all the time,
“Our goal is for you to pick the shingle color you want, and that’s all.”
We handle all of the communication with our client’s insurance company and try to make the process as seamless as possible. When a homeowner needs a new roof, they are stressed out. It’s expensive and can require a lot of back and forth with the insurance company. The Roof U.S. team has made it our mission to relieve the stress our customers feel about replacing their roof and support them from filing a claim to cleaning up the site after we’ve installed their new roof.
Business Interviews: Throughout the roof replacement process, what’s the most rewarding part of what you do?
Logan Reuter: The most rewarding part is seeing the smile on a customer’s face at the end of the project. With big projects, like a roof replacement, there is certainly apprehension and anxiety before our team begins. Our team is happy to hold the homeowners’ hands throughout the process, supporting them and showing they can trust us. We’ve got their back! The smile at the end of the job makes it all worth it!

Logan Reuter: The roofing industry has changed as new technology has been introduced. Additionally, insurance policies have also started to change. Now, more than ever, it’s important to work with a roofer who is well-versed in today’s roofing industry. Logan Reuter: Don’t follow the pack. Roofing is filled with high-pressure door knocking, aggressive insurance tactics, and other potentially bad business practices. Stay ethical. If you remain focused on keeping customer satisfaction your top priority, your business will grow.

Logan Reuter: Our biggest accomplishment is the amount of repeat and referral business that we get. We take that as a sign of a job well done!
