BusinessInterviews.com: What inspired you to launch your business?
In 2000, we saw that SBC (server based computing) was enhancing in popularity in the remote access area. Surprisingly enough, no one was addressing remote printing, so we decided to use this to our advantage and create a printing solution to help.

Arron: UniPrint V1.2 was released in August 2000. UniPrint V1.2’s purpose was to eliminate the printer driver dependence on server by introducing the concept of Universal Printer driver to enable remote printing in the SBC environment.

Simplify IT Management
By utilizing UniPrint UPD, server administrators only need to install and manage one single printer drive on the Remote Desktop Services server(s) or physical/virtual desktops. It also eliminates printer incompatibility issues that commonly occur in server-based printing when installing, upgrading and mapping client printer drivers.

Enhance Printing Functionality
UniPrint UPD is PDF-based and conforms to Adobe standards. By compressing and converting print spool files to PDF as much as 90% of printing is faster, with the added benefit of saving network bandwidth.

Enhance Document Security
UniPrint’s PDF-based UPD, offers additional security capabilities. Besides encrypted print jobs on the network, users can password protect their documents as well as set document privileges. *Provide better control and monitor on printing like we have on email
*Improve printing from mobile device such as the phone and tablet
*Provide printing as a service so one can retrieve their print job despite their location
*Cloud Printing – print job in digital form and store in the cloud
