BusinessInterviews.com: What inspired you to launch your business?
Marlon Kobacker: Although I am proud of the progress that has been made in the field of renewable energy and sustainable design over the last decade or so, there is still a substantial knowledge gap that must be made up without delay. The launch of Sustainable Future Group ensures that businesses all over the world are able to turn to the renewable energy sector for comprehensive product and service offerings that include technology products, sustainable advisory services, and financial consulting. It is in this way that we can educate and inform our clients and demonstrate to businesses across the globe that significant operational cost reductions can be achieved through the use of environmentally sustainable solutions.
BusinessInterviews.com: What has been your biggest challenge as a business owner and how have you met that challenge?
Marlon Kobacker: There are quite a few challenges that we have thus far encountered with Sustainable Future Group. The first, which was referenced in my previous response, pertains to the challenge of overcoming some of the most commonly held misconceptions regarding renewable energy and sustainable design.
In addition to dealing with the challenges associated with the aforementioned misconceptions, we have also had to work diligently to find a balanced approach through which we can address the needs of all of our clients in the most efficient and effective way possible. We have experienced substantial demand for our services and remain firm in our belief that the quality of our products and services should never be compromised for the sake of quantity.
BusinessInterviews.com: Where do you envision your company in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years?
Marlon Kobacker: We truly believe that Sustainable Future Group will be responsible for “innovating the smartest way forward,” so I envision that our company will continue to expand at a rate commensurate to the growing need for our technological products, sustainable advisory services, and financial guidance relevant to our extensive areas of expertise. As a company committed to innovation, I believe that in the future Sustainable Future Group will have maintained its status as a pioneer in the field of sustainability and will have inspired a host of other companies to do the same.
BusinessInterviews.com: Do you consider yourself successful and by what means do you measure success?
Marlon Kobacker: It is important to first acknowledge the simple fact that every company must be concerned with traditional measures of success in order to ensure viability over any extended period of time. At Sustainable Future Group, we absolutely understand the importance of these traditional measures but feel that the more authentic measure of our success lies in the nature of the contributions we make to our clients and to society at large.
The products and services we provide are designed to stimulate environmental and economic protection on both the local and global level, so the efficacy of our efforts in this regard will determine the extent to which we are able to successfully make a positive societal contribution that profoundly influences the present as well as the future.
